DIVERSIFIKASI PRODUK OLAHAN IKAN BAGI IBU-IBU NELAYAN DI DUSUN MAMUA KABUPATEN MALUKU TENGAH

Perairan laut merupakan salah satu wilayah yang sangat potensial dengan berbagai jenis komoditas yang dihasilkan, antara lain : ikan, udang, kerang, tiram, kepiting, tripang, cumi-cumi, rumput laut dan lain sebagainya. Ikan yang dihasilkan dari perairan laut lebih banyak dikenal daripada perikanan lainnya karena ikan paling banyak dikenal, ditangkap, dan dikonsumsi. Ikan dan produk-produk perikanan lainnya merupakan bahan pangan sumber hewani yang relatif murah harganya dibandingkan dengan sumber-sumber protein lainnya, seperti daging sapi, ayam, susu, dan telur. Penanganan ikan segar di kapal tangkap merupakan langkah pertama yang penting dan sangat menentukan dalam penanganan ikan segar selanjutnya, saat ikan diangkat dari air, ikan segar itu sudah dapat ditentukan mutunya. Mengingat olahan hasil laut berupa kerupuk ikan laut sangat cocok diterapkan pada cuaca panas dan dapat dimulai sebagai bisnis rumahan modal kecil. Selain dibuat kerupuk, ikan dapat diolah menjadi bakso ikan dengan bahan dan prosedur kerja yang sangat sederhana dan cukup mudah.
