Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the results of the analysis of problem solving abilities in solving Pythagorean theorem problems based on students' learning styles. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were class VIII students of MTs Al-fatah Ambon. Then from each learning style given test questions and interviews. In order to obtain 3 subjects from three learning styles that fulfill the problem solving ability test. Students with different learning styles have the same characteristics at the stages of formulating problems, testing hypotheses and formulating recommendations for solving problems. Students with visual and auditory learning styles have the same way of formulating hypotheses and collecting data that are different from kinesthetic learning styles, students with kinesthetic learning styles have only one hypothesis formulation.
