THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING SHORT STORIES IN ENGLISH TEACHING FOR PAI LEARNERS OF IAIN AMBON ON LEARNERS' PERCEPTION

The use of literature as one component in the learning program English Language, good use of English as a second language, and language use of English as a foreign language. For several decades previously, have a conversation about the benefits of using these kinds of literature in teaching, such as poetry, drama, novel, or short story, as part of English. Research of language syllabus aims to determine the use of the short story as a kind of literature as one method that can be used in learning English either to increase language skills. The reason for choosing the short story as a literary genre used as learning materials English language, because of short stoies possession of some benefits such as text that is interesting and can motivate students to learn the language Bitain, which is adapted to the level of understanding of the English language student. The effectiveness of the use of short stories in English language learning can be seen from the point of view of the increase in student vocabulary, text understanding readings can tell the story back to their own language, and students are able to understand the historical background of the story.Downloads
