Abstrak.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana santri di PESMA Al Mukmin mengelola waktu dalam menyeimbangkan peran akademik di perguruan tinggi dengan kewajiban kepesantrenan, dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa santri mampu menerapkan strategi manajemen waktu yang adaptif, terencana, dan fleksibel. Mereka memanfaatkan berbagai pendekatan seperti penyusunan to do list, penetapan prioritas, serta pemanfaatan media digital, dengan dukungan budaya disiplin dan fleksibilitas aturan pesantren yang memungkinkan sinergi antara kegiatan kampus dan kepesantrenan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa manajemen waktu yang baik berdampak pada pencapaian prestasi akademik, peningkatan soft skills, serta kemampuan menjaga keseimbangan emosional santri. Namun, berbagai kendala seperti benturan jadwal, beban aktivitas yang padat, serta tekanan fisik dan psikologis tetap menjadi tantangan yang harus dihadapi, sehingga dibutuhkan strategi adaptasi yang lebih berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hasil ini, disarankan agar santri terus mengembangkan keterampilan manajemen waktu dengan konsistensi yang lebih tinggi, pengasuh pesantren memperkuat ruang dialog dan pendampingan personal, serta perguruan tinggi menjalin koordinasi dengan pesantren agar kalender kegiatan lebih sinkron. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya lingkungan yang mendukung dalam membentuk kebiasaan manajemen waktu santri, sementara implikasi akademisnya memperkaya kajian tentang manajemen waktu dalam konteks pesantren mahasiswa yang memiliki dinamika berbeda dari mahasiswa pada umumnya. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini tidak hanya menegaskan keterampilan teknis manajemen waktu sebagai kunci keberhasilan, tetapi juga menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan santri sangat dipengaruhi oleh sistem, budaya, dan dukungan sosial yang melingkupinya.
Abstrak.
This study aims to explore how students at PESMA Al Mukmin manage their time in balancing academic responsibilities at the university with religious obligations in the pesantren environment. The findings indicate that students are able to implement adaptive, planned, and flexible time management strategies. They employ various approaches such as creating to-do lists, setting priorities, and utilizing digital tools, supported by the pesantren’s culture of discipline and flexible regulations that allow synergy between campus and pesantren activities. The results further suggest that effective time management has a significant impact on academic achievement, the development of soft skills, and the ability to maintain emotional balance. Nevertheless, challenges remain, such as schedule conflicts, heavy workloads, and both physical and psychological pressures, which require sustainable adaptive strategies. Based on these findings, it is recommended that students continue to strengthen their time management skills with greater consistency, pesantren supervisors enhance personal mentoring and dialogue spaces, and universities coordinate with pesantren to better align academic and religious schedules. The practical implications of this research highlight the importance of a supportive environment in shaping students’ time management habits, while its academic implications enrich the discourse on time management within the unique context of university-based pesantren students. Thus, this study not only emphasizes time management as a technical skill for success but also demonstrates that students’ achievements are strongly influenced by systems, culture, and social support surrounding them.
