NILAI-NILAI SOLIDARITAS DALAM TRADISI PAWAI MUSIK PATROL PADA BULAN RAMADHAN DI DESA LANGKAP KECAMATAN BANGSALSARI KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Patrol music is one of the cultural activities used in night patrols in villages. However, this habit is starting to disappear and is only done on certain occasions. Playing patrol music requires several people with different equipment. The equipment used is not only kentongan, but there are also those who use kitchen equipment with panic covers, modified pipe pipes and so on. This patrol music is performed every month of Ramadan to wake up the people in Langkap Village for sahur. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of solidarity that are created in the patrol music tradition in Langkap Village. The method used is descriptive qualitative method of description, interviews and utilizing relevant written sources. This interview was conducted not only with the patrol musicians, but also with the people of Langkap Village. Based on the analysis conducted, there is an influence of social ties between villagers in Langkap Village. The growth of solidarity is due to a sense of mutual need which is shown by the different roles one has and the cooperation with other members so that it is carried out and a beautiful harmony is created. Solidarity can also be seen from the people who watch patrol music in the morning at dawn. Thus, patrol music in Langkap Village fosters a value of solidarity..
