Gamification is a learning approach that can foster student engagement by incorporating game elements into biology learning activities. The use of the Snakes and Ladders game can create interactive learning activities through questions, challenges, game rules, and student-to-student interaction. Various studies have examined the use of the Snakes and Ladders game in Biology instruction, but the results of these studies remain scattered across various scientific publications. This study aims to analyze the implementation of gamification in Biology instruction using the Snakes and Ladders game through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The research method follows the PRISMA 2020 guidelines by analyzing ten relevant scientific articles published between 2022 and 2025. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of gamification using the Snakes and Ladders game has a positive impact on biology learning, particularly in improving students’ learning outcomes, activity levels, motivation, engagement, and thinking skills.
