BERSENGGAMA SAAT MENSTRUASI DALAM TINJAUAN AL-QUR’AN DAN SAINS

Human in life have physical and spiritual needs. Human spiritual needs are needs related to the mind and soul. One of the spiritual needs of humans is the need to have intercourse with a husband or wife. In Islam marriage is a means for humans to meet these needs proportionally so that Islam provides guidance on how to carry out these relationship, for example by not having intercourse when the wife menstruating. This prohibition is explicitly explained by Allah in the Al-Qur’an Surah al-Baqarah (2): 222 and the hadith Prophet Muhammad Saw narrated by at-Tirmidzi. Allah’s prohibition and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Saw can actually be explained by a scientific approach that sexual intercourse during menstruation can endanger the health of husband and wife because it can cause various diseases such as endometriosis, infection of the cervix, syphilis and other diseases of the reproductive and sudden death.
