Low mastery of concept is one of the obstacles in the learning process, not to mention the chemistry lesson. The difficulty in the understanding the concepts in materials chemistry can lead to misunderstanding. Understanding one that occurs consistently referred to as misconceptions (misconceptions). Misconceptions not only occur on the learner and the teacher, misconceptions can also occur in the books that are sold on the market. Types of books – books used in school chemistry are expected to facilitate the learners in the study of chemistry subjects, in fact there are many learners who have misconceptions that cause learners have difficulty understanding the chemistry lesson, where the description in the book is too short causing no material is missing (not discussed), in addition to the presentation of the material in the form of pictures or reaction that is lacking in the book attracted the attention of learners. The test results our outstanding the explanations in the book of chemistry SMA/MA class X in the conformity with the guidebook that university chemistry book by James A. Brady. But the books that have been tested there are some books that are not contained in the image and the book is not there, or more specific explanation and there is also a book that is less understood by learners so that learners will confuse if the study itself.
