Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026)Leksikal: Jurnal Pengajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a scientific journal that focuses on the development of knowledge, research, and practice in the field of Indonesian Language and Literature teaching and learning. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and practitioners to publish research findings, academic ideas, innovative teaching practices, and critical studies related to Indonesian Language and Literature education.
The journal’s scope includes the teaching and learning of Indonesian Language and Literature, curriculum development, teaching models and strategies, assessment and evaluation, teaching materials, literacy, Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA), as well as the development of instructional media and technology. The journal also welcomes linguistic studies, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, and applied linguistics, provided that they have a clear and substantive connection to Indonesian Language education, teaching, learning, assessment, literacy, or language development.
In the field of literature, the journal covers studies of Indonesian Literature and Literature Education, including literary appreciation, children’s literature, literary criticism relevant to education, the development of literature teaching materials, and innovations in literature teaching and learning. The journal also gives attention to the use of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesian Language and Literature education, including online learning platforms, applications, multimedia, and various digital tools to support teaching and learning processes.
Through this scope, Leksikal aims to contribute to the development of theory, research, and practice in Indonesian Language and Literature teaching and to provide an academic forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners to disseminate research findings and innovations in the field of Indonesian Language and Literature.
Leksikal: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Teaching was first published in June 2025 and is published online twice a year, in June and December. The journal is intended to serve as a scientific publication platform that supports the development of research and educational practices in Indonesian Language and Literature at both national and international levels.
