Authorship Criteria
JSI adheres to international standards for authorship criteria. To be listed as an author, every individual must meet all four of the following conditions:
1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
2. Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
3. Final approval of the version to be published; AND
4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
2. Non-Author Contributions / Acknowledgments (Ucapan Terima Kasih)
Contributors who do not meet all four criteria above (such as funding acquisition, general supervision, technical assistance, or proofreading) should not be listed as authors. They may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section with their explicit written permission.
3. Role of Corresponding Author (Peran Penulis Korespondensi)
The Corresponding Author is responsible for:
o Managing primary communication between the journal and all co-authors prior to and after publication.
o Ensuring that all listed co-authors have approved the author order, the final manuscript draft, and the submission.
o Ensuring that declarations regarding conflict of interest, ethical approval, and licensing are fully completed.
4. Changes in Authorship (Perubahan Susunan/Daftar Penulis)
Any requests for additions, deletions, or reordering of author names after submission must be approved by the Editor-in-Chief. Written confirmation/consent must be provided by all listed authors (including those being added or removed). No changes to authorship are permitted after the manuscript has been accepted or published.
5. Use of Artificial Intelligence (Penggunaan AI/Generative AI)
Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., Large Language Models, ChatGPT) do not qualify for authorship and must not be listed as an author or co-author. If AI tools were utilized during the preparation, analysis, or image creation of the manuscript, authors must explicitly disclose their usage in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
