Archiving Policy
Lingue: Jurnal Bahasa, Budaya, dan Sastra (e-ISSN 2775-6386; p-ISSN 2775-8524) ensures that its published content remains permanently available to readers, even if the journal ceases publication, changes platform, or experiences a technical failure.
1. Preservation Services
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): a free, distributed preservation network for journals using Open Journal Systems. Each published issue is deposited automatically and stored in multiple locations worldwide.
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): the journal provides a LOCKSS publisher manifest that allows participating libraries to collect and keep permanent copies of its content.
2. Other Copies and Access Points
- Universitas Islam Negeri Abdul Muthalib Sangadji Ambon, the publisher, hosts the journal’s server and regularly backs up the database and article files, with copies stored at a separate location.
- Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), the Indonesian national scholarly portal.
- Google Scholar for indexing and discovery.
3. Persistent Identifiers
Every article, correction, retraction, and published comment is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref. If the journal’s web address changes, the DOIs are updated so that citations continue to resolve.
4. Continuity
If the journal ceases publication, changes publisher, or moves to a different platform, the publisher will keep all published content freely accessible at a stable location, update the DOIs, and inform the preservation services. Published articles are not removed except in exceptional legal circumstances; even then, the metadata and a removal notice remain. Retracted articles remain archived and are clearly marked “Retracted”.
5. Self-Archiving by Authors
Authors are encouraged to deposit their work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, or academic networks, without any embargo:
| Version | When | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Preprint (submitted version) | At any time | Disclose it at submission; after publication, link it to the published article |
| Accepted manuscript | Immediately after acceptance | State that it has been accepted for publication in Lingue |
| Published version | Immediately after publication | Cite the published article in full and retain the licence stated in the Copyright & License policy |
6. Contact
