1. Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish in Lingue: Jurnal Bahasa, Budaya, dan Sastra retain the copyright of their articles without restriction.

2. Rights Granted to the Journal

By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the journal:

  • the right of first publication of the work;
  • a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and index the article in any medium and format, including deposit in preservation services and indexing databases, as described in the Archiving Policy.

All published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, as explained on the License Terms page.

3. Authors’ Rights

Authors may, without asking permission from the journal:

  • reuse their article, in whole or in part, in their own teaching, theses, dissertations, books, or other works, provided that the original publication in Lingue is cited;
  • deposit any version of their article (preprint, accepted manuscript, or published version) in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites, or academic networks, in accordance with the Archiving Policy;
  • enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for distributing the published version, such as inclusion in an edited book, with acknowledgement of its first publication in Lingue.

4. Authors’ Warranties

By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author confirms, on behalf of all authors, that:

  • the work is original, has not been published before, and is not under consideration elsewhere;
  • all authors have approved the submission and agree to its publication under CC BY 4.0;
  • the authors have obtained written permission to reproduce any third-party material (such as images, figures, tables, manuscripts, or long quotations) and have acknowledged the source;
  • the work does not infringe any copyright or other rights of third parties.

5. Third-Party Material

Third-party material included in an article with permission is not covered by the CC BY 4.0 licence unless the article states otherwise. Users who wish to reuse such material must obtain permission from the rights holder.

6. Journal Name and Identity

The CC BY 4.0 licence applies to the content of articles. It does not grant rights to use the name, logo, or visual identity of Lingue or of Universitas Islam Negeri Abdul Muthalib Sangadji Ambon.

7. Articles Published Before [date]

Articles published before [date of policy adoption] remain available under the licence stated in each article. From [Volume X, Issue Y] onward, all articles are published under CC BY 4.0.
